Metro Presort Inc. (“Metro Presort” or “we/us/our”) provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) as of May 1, 2022 to explain our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information that we gather from individuals accessing Metro Presort’s website or contacting us on the telephone or by email. By using our website or otherwise contacting us and providing information to us, you are consenting to this Policy. Please read it carefully. We reserve the right to amend it at any time by providing reasonable notice. If you do not agree to the collection of data as set forth in our Policy, you will not be able to use our website.

Categories of Information We Collect

We interpret the term “Personal Information” in accordance with applicable law as referring to information that may be used to identify, contact, or locate a specific person. We collect Personal Information from individuals who volunteer their information to us to enable us to contact them regarding our business.  The Personal Information we collect from individuals includes: names, telephone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, and other information individuals choose to provide.

We use the Personal Information collected to communicate with customers and potential customers, including distribution of our newsletters, to provide products or services, and for additional purposes identified at or before the time that the information is collected. Metro Presort also uses Personal Information for accounting and transaction completion purposes.  Metro Presort may disclose Personal Information to its legal, financial, and other service providers or in connection with the sale or reorganization of all or part of its business or operations. To the extent Metro Presort shares Personal Information with service providers, Metro Presort will require such service providers to honor the commitments to privacy and security as are set forth in this Policy.

We do not disclose Personal Information to third-parties other than service providers who process Personal Information on our behalf or as may be required by applicable law.

We do not regard Personal Information that has been anonymized or aggregated to prevent the identification of a specific individual to continue to be Personal Information.

In addition to collecting and using Personal Information as outlined above, we also gather certain information known as “Usage Information” that tells us how visitors interact with our website. Usage Information means certain personally identifiable and non-identifiable information that we or our third-party service providers may collect through a variety of technologies that automatically or passively collect certain information from users as they visit or interact with our website. Usage Information may include IP address or other device identifiers, the type of browser, device, and operating system a user employs, the URL that referred users to our website, how and when users interact with our website, and other similar information. We collect information about the manner in which our website is used and the devices on which they are used and to collect data to improve the performance and features of our website. If we combine Usage Information with Personal Information, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information.

Usage Information collected is used to compile overall statistics and is not recorded at an individual level. The statistics help us decide which products and services best serve our website visitors and other customers and for the maintenance and improvement of our Platforms.

The Usage Information we may access, collect, and/or monitor can include location data, such as geographic information regarding the location of the accessing device. Location data may help us understand where our Platforms are being used. Location data, however, is only displayed and shared in accordance with the privacy settings in each user’s device or browser software.

By using our website, you are authorizing us to process Personal Information and Usage Information as described in this Policy.

Use of Cookies and Other Technology

Once a user accesses or uses our Platforms, we and the service provider(s) assisting with the administration of our Platforms may engage, receive, collect, and store Usage Information through automatic data collection tools including cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, embedded web links, and similar technology.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server that facilitates communication between browser and server. A cookie can function like bookmark, enabling efficient return to a desired website.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but browser settings can be changed to decline cookies based on user preference. If you decline cookies, you may not be able to experience all features of our website.

Security of Your Personal Information

Metro Presort takes reasonable precautions, including administrative, technical, and physical security safeguards, to protect the Personal Information we receive from users via our Platforms. The security precautions we take are commensurate with the sensitivity of the Personal Information we process. With respect to Personal Information we receive from our website, the servers that store Personal Information are kept in a secure environment under restricted access. Because of these safeguards and our policy of not sharing Personal Information with third parties other than our own service providers, we believe that your decision to share Personal Information with us represents a low risk to you.

Of course, the Internet is not 100 percent secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. We do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. Should any event occur where Personal Information has been potentially compromised, our policy is to alert our customers according to applicable law.

By providing Personal Information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of our website or receipt of our products or services. If we learn of a security breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on our website or by e-mailing you. You may have a legal right to receive this notice in paper/hardcopy format. To receive free written notice of a security breach in paper or hardcopy format (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice), please notify us at the contact information listed below.

User Rights and Choices

You are not required to submit your Personal Information to access and use our website. By providing your Personal Information to us, you are authorizing us to use your Personal Information for the purposes set forth in this Policy. By providing your telephone number, you are authorizing us to call you and to send you text messages for our marketing purposes. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information from children under 13 years of age without parental consent, and no part of the website is directed to children under the age of 13. Data Minimization & Retention

We do not collect Personal Information except as necessary to accomplish the business purposes set forth in this Policy. Except where otherwise required by law, we will retain your Personal Information only for as long as needed for the business purpose for which we collected it.
